Nightwing #6, written by Kyle Higgins, and drawn by Eddy Barrows, brings Dick(Nightwing)Grayson back to Gotham City and connects the series' ongoing story to the current Batman 'Court Of Owls' storyline! Raya, whom we saw last issue has some serious secrets that she's keeping from Dick, informs the new circus owner of a planned tribute to his deceased parents, the Flying Graysons:
Though not sold on the idea, Grayson gives in, and speaks to the crowd before the performances, which may have caused some doubt in Raya's mind:
Before that can be addressed, though, an attack by the assassin Saiko takes place, which Dick had been expecting. What he wasn't expecting was Saiko's identity as the thought-to-be-dead Raymond:
Seems that Dick's name on a list previously discovered meant that he was targeted as apotential recruit by the Court Of Owls. His parents deaths, and his subsequent departure from the circus for training with the Batman left Raymond as a substitute. Raymond takes an explosive revenge:
the results of which will be discovered in issue #7! Another good issue, and probably the best of the Bat Books at tying in the main story, while still maintaining it's own independence.
