The Race Is On In March!

March solicits for DC Comics herald the return of a DC Comics tradition: determining who is faster, Superman or The Flash! Both possess super-speed, and DC used to occasionally test them, only to have almost every 'race' be diverted or subverted in such a way as to leave the winner a question in the reader's mind (and so as not to piss off fans of either character). Conner(Superboy)Kent is only half-Kryptonian, so we can assume that the current Kid Flash, Bart Allen, could trounce him in a race, but issue #5 of Superboy features the above cover by Eddy Barrows, in which the contest looks more equal than it should.
Below is the same month's cover for Superman #709, in which apparently the adult Flash (not really sure who it is at present)is attempting to challenge Clark Kent's decision to stroll across America, drawn by John Cassaday. Hey, even Superman could use a little exercise!
