Zachary Zatara Gets Stood Up!

When we last saw Zachary Zatara in Zatanna #4 he had been fooled by the appearance of three fire demons headed to battle his cousin Zatanna in a Las Vegas hotel room. Returning to the room to apologize once again for the party he had thrown he engaged the demons, who were dispatched by Zatanna. The cousins bond a bit while cleaning up the mess, and Zach whines about being neglected by his more famous relative:

We get a glimpse of their past relationship:

And Zatanna promises to attend Zach's next show.

Things don't go as planned, though, as an evildoer drugs Zatanna, having promised her soul to a major demon, leaving Zach to believe he's been stood up.

Hopefully Zach'll get over the self-pity in time to assist Zatanna next issue!
