Carlo Marks made his second appearance last night on the CW's "Smallville". As I posted previously, the episode marked Zatanna's return to the show, and her return had to do with removing a curse placed upon a comic book that is stolen at the beginning of the episode. The thief is a kid who magically becomes the main character in the comic, "Warrior Angel" (a series "Smallville" has used before as an in-show inspiration for Clark's eventual transformation to Superman, and a favorite of Lex Luthor.)and saves Chloe Sullivan. Carlo's previous appearance had also been tied to Chloe, as he played her alternative universe fiance.

Being a Canadian athlete, I think Northstar would make a much better symbol for the Vancouver Olympic Games starting this evening than what they are using

but no one asked me. Tonight, also appearing in Vancouver (which is the stand-in for Metropolis/Smallville on the TV series) is Serinda Swan, making her second appearance as Zatanna on the CW series "Smallville"!

Her first appearance was mostly out of character for the magician, and was basically a Chloe Sullivan tale, and tonight she appears to be mostly a plot device, but better than nothing. Besides, this might help to whet the appetite for new readers to hop onto the just announced Zatanna ongoing series!
