Apparently, 'hiking the Appalachian Trail' is a new euphemism for an affair, at least when one is the Governor of South Carolina. Mark Sanford seems to agree with Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor about the uniqueness of a Latina woman, though he didn't specifically mention whether wisdom was one of the qualities he sought.

My own interest in hiking dates back to when I was a kid. As seen in the opening pic on today's entry, I enjoy woods where I can find them, and was fortunate enough to grow up in Minnesota, and spent many summers at places like Isle O Dreams , as well as having wooded areas nearby our home. Camping was something I managed to continue living in New York, and I was reminded of it when I saw the pictures from the DsquaredSS2010 show in Milan.

Doesn't exactly look like the camping I used to do, but it sure looks like fun!
