Of course, older shows I've enjoyed are returning, and I am excited by the cliffhanger endings of 'Alias', 'Smallville', and 'Angel' to see what the new season has in store! 'Angel' is apparently working in Spike from 'Buffy' as a regular, which I am ambivalent about, and is leaving Cordelia in a coma, which I am angry about, but the new direction of having the team taking over Wolfram & Hart is enough to make me check it out! 'Alias' apparently skipped ahead 2 years in Sydney's life, and there many questions to be answered! 'Smallville' actually has me curious as to where they will take the characters of Lex and Clark following their individual dilemmas at the end of last season. The only problem is that we know eventually Clark will become Superman and Lex his arch-enemy, so they cannot veer TOO far afield. Still, it's a well-done show all around, with an attractive and talented cast.
'Life With Bonnie' was my fave comedy of last season, and is back on Friday nights, so I am happy about that. Also enjoying 'Nip/Tuck' on FX, though they seem to be too interested in pushing the envelope to let any plots develop organically. 'Las Vegas' premiered the other night, and, though I hadn't planned on watching, it was very good! And even the new 'Survivor' had an unexpected twist that made me pay attention last week! I am looking forward to seeing this week's episode, almost having a favorite team at this point!
On radio, though I am tired of Matt Drudge's weekly 'Arnold bashing', old favorite Art Bell has returned to 'Coast to Coast' on Saturday and Sunday nights! Just like old times! (There was a period of time during which all-night Art Bell kept me entertained while hospitalized and through several rough periods; nice to have him back!)
Well, that's it for me for now! The couch (and the remote control) awaits! Oh, and 'Happy Birthday' to my newly employed brother!
