Well,things are back to what I now refer to as normal,following my auspicious radio debut!In the audio version of stge fright I ignored any notes I had written out in favor of the multi-purpose "Ummm"!
If anyone actually reads these,I thought I would mention that I am not in fact against Memorial Day picnics and the like if one feels the need to participate.It's the aspect of FORCED festivity that I am against.Especially as a recovering alcoholic I am acutely aware of the awkward experience of trying to mirror the functions of people who party normally in every aspect except for the alcohol!At least for myself these get-togethers were intensely uncomfortable,usually underlining throughout the need for alcohol to make it through the event.
I've decided that while others are indeed partying I might perform some mundane errands,as I believe I may avoid the crowds by getting them done today.
But,for now,BACK TO THE COUCH!
